About This Course

Emotional Intelligence (EI/EQ) is increasingly recognized as one of the strongest predictors of personal and professional success – often outweighing technical skill or academic ability on its own. This course walks participants through the four core domains of EQ – Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, and Social Management – using practical examples, guided self-reflection, and group discussion, so that new insights can be applied immediately, both on the job and in everyday life. We will also explore EI in the Belizean and wider Caribbean context and understand why emotions play such a key role particularly in our Belizean workspaces 2. Who Should Attend This session is suitable for individuals at all levels – from housewives, new team members to supervisors and managers – who want to better understand their own emotional responses and build stronger, more positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Course Objectives: During this session we will also look at Self-Awareness and look at those emotional triggers and how to manage them so you can be well on your way to developing a higher EI. • Recognising your emotions as they arise and naming them accurately. • Identifying your personal emotional triggers and behaviour patterns. • Understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. • Honestly assessing your strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots. • Building self-confidence rooted in genuine self-knowledge.
